1762

' You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing. What! Is it nothing to be happy? Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long? Never in his life will he be so busy again. '

~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Emile, 1762

I love this, so often we hurry our children to grow up and don't appreciate at times that they are doing all they need by just being children.

Very timeless, it made me smile that people were struggling with children being themselves even in 1762
